DESCRIPTION
A multispeed rotavator is a versatile farming implement designed for soil preparation tasks. It typically features a robust gasoline or diesel engine, ranging from 5 to 15 horsepower, coupled with a multispeed gearbox offering various forward and reverse speeds to suit different soil conditions and applications. Equipped with 12 to 36 high-quality steel tines or blades, the rotavator efficiently breaks up and tills the soil, with a working depth adjustable between 5 to 30 centimeters through skids or wheels. Its power transmission system, often connected to a tractor’s power take-off (PTO) shaft, employs belt or chain drives to transfer power to the tines. Safety features such as operator presence controls, protective shields, and emergency stops ensure safe operation. Optional features like hydraulic depth control and adjustable hitch further enhance its versatility. Regular maintenance, following manufacturer guidelines, is crucial for optimal performance and longevity.
